Lessons From the Van 2
1. Drive like a grannie (mostly).
Drive the speed limit, don't accelerate too quickly (but not too slowly either!) and take your foot off the gas when you know you'll have to stop ahead. Not only is it safer, but it saves you money on gas (and speeding tickets)!
2. Check your tension at the door.
Make sure your body isn't holding any unnecessary tension that could a) potentially cause your body injury or b) give a dog the wrong idea about your body language or energy. One of my worst tension spots? My jaw!
3. Better to give too much room than too little.
If you're walking on a narrow path or sidewalk and need to move over for whatever reason - a passing pedestrian perhaps - always give more room than necessary.
